PA Week 2013

In honor of PA week on October 11, 2013, clinical year PA students from Pace University-Lenox Hill Hospital PA Program joined recent graduates and the PAs of Lenox Hill Hospital to educate more than 100 high school students about the physician assistant profession and the path to becoming a PA. In addition to the presentation, breakout sessions were conducted and the high school students learned to take basic vital signs and had the opportunity to hear about the history of the physician assistant profession.

This was the second year that Pace's PA students were able to assist with this important event, which concluded with a Q&A panel including class of 2014 PA students Lauren Cicale, Eric Evangelista, Annie Fetcher, Melissa Firstenberg, Lily Grobman, Nicole Kubart, Stephanie Levy,  Kevin Nelson, Christine Sideris, Dominique Sisto, Brittany Bowker and alumna Toni Marie Milito. They answered questions about academic admission requirements, financial aid, scholarships, career opportunities, and health care experience hours. The high school students were invited to speak with current PA students and alumni on a one-on-one basis to discuss their questions or concerns.
