Next Steps-NYC Campus

If you've been admitted to the NYC campus for the Spring 2013 semester, please follow the steps below. For more detailed information please consult the Orientation and Registration Guide you received in the mail.  If you've been admitted to the Westchester campus, please click here for next steps.

Step 1: Orientation Sign-Up

Orientation Sessions:
Orientation will prepare you for classes and life at Pace University.  Choose from the following dates:

Thursday, December 13
9:45 a.m.- 3:30 p.m.

Thursday, January 17
2:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m.

Optional Campus Tours:
For a campus tour on orientation day, please arrive 1-hour prior to the start time listed above.

Register:
Register online by clicking the button below. There is a $40 Orientation fee that you will be prompted to pay during registration. Guests may accompany you for a fee of $25 per person.

Step 2: Placement Testing

Math and Writing Tests:
Placement testing in writing and math is required for all new students. Exemption is based on the review of the math and English courses transferred from other universities. All new beginning freshmen must take the language and math placement tests. Transfer students required to take a placement test will receive a letter from the Office of Undergraduate Admission.

Modern Language Test:
If you are not transferring in college credits for a foreign language and plan to study a language which you studied for 2+ years in high school, you may need to take an online placement test. Please contact CAE (below) for details.

Placement Testing Dates:
Tues., December 11 @ 9:00 a.m.
Wed., January 16 @ 9:00 a.m.
Check-in at One Place Plaza

To Sign-Up:
To sign up for either or both the Math and English placement tests, please call the CAE at 212-346-1386. You should select the testing date that is the same week as the Orientation date you will be registering for.

For International Students

Information:
If you are an international student, in addition to orientation, you are required to attend a Mandatory International Immigration Information Session (MIIIS).

What is the MIIIS?
This event will provide you with critical information about being an International Student-Visa holder in the U.S. Most importantly, you will have the opportunity to ask questions about life in New York and the college experience.

MIIIS Date:
Wednesday, January 16
1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Check-in at One Pace Plaza

How to Register:
You will be able to register for both the MIIIS and Orientation through the online registration system. Simply click the Register Now button to begin. We recommend that you sign-up for the orientation session on Thursday, January 17.
