Guide to Applying for Summer Financial Aid at Pace University

In general, financial aid for the Summer sessions is based on a student’s eligibility for the previous year. Therefore, students interested in receiving financial aid for Summer 2013 must have filed the 2012-2013 FAFSA form. However, we recommend that you also file the 2012-2013 FAFSA form.

If you have not completed the FAFSA form, you can file it online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Please note that the estimated time frame for processing of paper applications is approximately 4-5 weeks whereas online applications only take about 2-3 weeks.

Pace University FAFSA school codes are:

New York: 002791, Westchester (Pleasantville): 002792, White Plains: 002727

Students interested in aid for the summer must also file the Pace University Application for Summer Federal Financial Aid. We advise you to submit all required documents, and register before April 8, 2013 to guarantee financial aid availability for payment date. Students must be enrolled in at least six (6) credits in order to receive financial aid.

Please note that the utilization of student loan borrowing and any other federal aid for some courses may affect your federal financial aid during the following financial aid year. Please visit the financial aid office to to discuss strategies for stretching your federal financial aid across summer, fall, and spring semesters.

Students may be eligible for Federal Pell Grants, Federal Direct Loans, NYS TAP and Federal Work-Study during the summer sessions.  University scholarships, grants and awards are not available for summer sessions.
