Like all good investments, a Pace University education returns value over time.  We offer four types of financial aid (scholarships, grants, work-study, and loans) and work closely with students to ensure they get the maximum aid available to them.
 
Pace offers the following scholarships and grants :
 

Pforzheimer Honors College Scholarship

Available to: Entering full-time, first-year students who have been accepted into Pace’s Pforzheimer’s Honors College.
 
Requirements: Students are invited to enter the Honors College based on their academic achievement (high school average and SAT I or ACT). To be eligible, students must have a high school average of 90 or higher, SAT Math and Verbal  scores of 550 or higher, and a cumulative SAT score of 1200 or higher (minimum ACT score of 27). Matriculation is required. Students must be enrolled in 12 credits or more per semester.
 
Length of award: The award lasts four years, excluding summer sessions. Students must remain enrolled in the Honors College, maintain academic progress, and a cumulative GPA of 3.30 at Pace to continue receiving the scholarship
 
Due date:  For priority consideration, a completed undergraduate application for admission must be on file by February 15.
 

President’s Scholarship

Available to: Entering full-time, first-year students.
 
Requirements: Students must show academic achievement as measured by high school and SAT I or ACT scores. Matriculation is required. Students must be enrolled in 12 credits or more per semester.
 
Length of award: Awards are for four years, excluding summer sessions. Students must maintain academic progress and a cumulative GPA of 3.0 at Pace.
 
Due date: Priority will be given to students who have an application for admission on file by February 15.
 

Trustee Recognition Award

Available to: Entering, full-time, first-year students.
 
Requirements: Awards are given on the basis of academic achievement as measured by high school average and SAT I or ACT scores. Matriculation is required. Students must be enrolled in 12 credits or more per semester.
 
Length of award: Awards are for four years, excluding summer sessions. Students must maintain academic progress and a cumulative GPA of 2.0 at Pace.
 
Due date: Priority will be given to students who have an application for admission on file by February 15.

 

Legacy Scholarship

Beginning with the entering class of 2012, Pace is offering a new Legacy Scholarship to incoming students whose parent(s) graduated from Pace University. This $1,000 annual award will be split between the fall and spring semesters.

Available to: Entering full-time, first-year students whose parent(s) are graduates of Pace University.
 
Requirements: Students must state that one or both parents are graduates of Pace University on their application prior to submission. Students must show academic achievement as measured by high school and SAT I or ACT scores. Matriculation is required. Students must be enrolled in 12 credits or more per semester.
 
Length of award: The award is renewable each year, excluding summer sessions, for up to 4 years or until the student completes the bachelor's degree, whichever comes first. Students enrolled in an approved 5-year combined degree program can receive the award for up to five years. Students must maintain academic progress and a cumulative Quality Point Average (QPA) of 2.00 or above at Pace.
 
Due date: Students should submit their application for admission by February 15.
 

Pace Incentive Award

Available to: Entering full-time, first-year students who show academic promise.
 
Requirements: Matriculation is required. Students must be enrolled in 12 credits or more per semester. 
 
Length of award: The award is carried over four years, excluding summer sessions. Students must maintain academic progress and a cumulative GPA of 2.0 at Pace.
 
Due date: Priority will be given to students who have an application for admission on file by February 15.
 

Deans’ Scholarship

Available to: Incoming, full-time transfer students.
               
Requirements: Students must show academic achievement as measured by their previous college average. Matriculation is required. Students must be enrolled in 12 credits or more per semester.
 
Length of award: Awards are for four years, excluding summer sessions. Students must maintain academic progress and a cumulative GPA of 3.0 at Pace.
 
Due date: For priority consideration, have a completed undergraduate application for admission on file by February 15.
 

Transfer Incentive Award

 Available to: Incoming, full-time transfer students showing academic promise.
               
Requirements: Students must be enrolled in 12 credits or more per semester. Matriculation is required.
 
Length of award: Award is carried over four years, excluding summer sessions. Students must maintain academic progress and a cumulative GPA of 2.0 at Pace.
 
Due date: Priority will be given to students who have an application for admission on file by February 15.
 

Pace Grant

Available to: Full-time students displaying academic promise and a level of financial need.
 
Requirements: Students must be enrolled in 12 credits or more per semester. Matriculation is required. Student must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Students must file a FAFSA.
 
Length of award: Awards last one year. Students must reapply for Pace Grants each year. Awards only apply to fall and spring semesters. Students must maintain academic progress and a cumulative GPA of 2.0 at Pace, and continue to demonstrate financial need to be considered for a new award each year.
 
Due date: Priority will be given to students who have an application for admission on file by February 1 and a FAFSA on file by February 15.
 

Carl and Lily Pforzheimer Foundation Endowed Scholarship Fund

Available to: Students nominated by the Office of Admission who have demonstrated exemplary community service (via an additional essay submission on community service involvement) and show significant financial need based on their FAFSA application.
 
Requirements: First-year students wishing to obtain the award must have a minimum B high school average and a 1000 SAT score. Transfer students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA from their previous college. Matriculation is required. Students must be enrolled in 12 credits or more per semester. Students must file a FAFSA.
 
Length of award: The award is renewed annually if the recipient continues to demonstrate financial need, maintain academic progress, and a cumulative GPA of 3.0 at Pace. 
 
Due date: Priority will be given to students who have an application for admission on file by February 15.  Please email your essay to the Office of Admission at  appprocessing@pace.edu.
 
Maximum award amount: $3,000.00 for the year.
 
Funds for this scholarship are limited.
 

Endowed Scholarships

Pace University’s endowed and restricted scholarships are very different from any of the other aid in your financial aid package. They are made possible through the generosity of Pace alumni and friends, as well as corporations and foundations. These benefactors have a strong belief in the importance of a Pace education for your future success.

There are over 250 endowed and restricted scholarships available. Each one of them has specific criteria which may include financial need, academic achievement, co-curricular activities, and others. If you would like to apply for any of these special awards, and you are a current student, you can use our Application Portal. It is very important that you provide as much information as possible so that you are eligible for a greater number of scholarships. The deadline for the current academic year is December 31st. All applications received after January 1st are applied to the upcoming Fall/Spring academic year.

Barnes & Noble Book Scholarship Opportunity

The Barnes and Noble Book Scholarship Opportunity, offered through Pace University, provides a $500.00 per semester book scholarship, offered through the generosity of Barnes and Noble. This $500.00 Book Scholarship is designed to help undergraduate students pay for textbooks. Approximately 10 awards will be made per year.

Please note: This scholarship is for current students only.

You must meet the following criteria to apply:

  • Enrolled undergraduate students only
  • Full-time student status
  • A minimum Q.P.A. of 2.0
  • A documented financial need by filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
