Pace University’s Career Services center provides free guidance and consultation to all Pace students wishing to explore career options, or apply for internships/jobs. The center’s internship program is one of the largest of its kind in metropolitan New York, with more than 1,450 Pace students working in internship positions at 500 companies ever year. The center also provides:
 

• More than 200 alumni career advisers – and instant network of great contacts.
• Campus recruiting and job fairs, with more than 500 employers visiting Pace campuses annually to interview students.
• Job search tools and online job postings.
• Interviewing workshops, business etiquette seminars, credential files, and more.

Pace’s international student population comes from more than 90 countries, and makes up 10% of Pace’s student body. Two major services are available for international students: 

• International Students and Scholars Office (ISSO)
  Assists students with matters of special concern to international students. The office provides information prior to your arrival, conducts orientation programs, advises on visa and employment matters, legal rights and responsibilities, health insurance, adjustment issues and personal concerns, and coordinates a variety of programs and activities on campus.
• English Language Institute (ELI)
  The ELI prepares international students to adapt successfully at Pace. The curriculum is designed to help students who are academically qualified to study at Pace but who need to improve their English before enrolling in credit courses full time. As an ELI student, you will have access to all University facilities. The ELI offers summer courses, as well as regular academic year courses.

 

Yes. Pace has a professional security staff on duty and visible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. All students, faculty, staff, and alumni must show identification to enter the premises, and all visitors must register at the security stations before entering. The Safety & Security staff also provides an escort service at both campuses: students may request an escort to walk them between any two points on campus.
 

Pace takes seriously its obligations under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and Title I of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. A student with a disability who believes that he or she will need an auxiliary aid or other accommodations must notify the Counseling Center prior to the beginning of classes.
 

Yes. Pace University offers free, walk-in tutoring programs to all students in a variety of subjects at different course levels. In addition, Pace operates a Writing Center for students who wish to receive feedback on essays or research papers. Yes. University Health Care offers a full range of primary care services to the Pace University community, with locations on both campuses. Our health centers are staffed by nurse practitioners and physicians. Services available include:
 

• Health education
• Health assessment with complete physical examinations
• Women’s health care
• Diagnosis and treatment of illnesses
• First aid for minor injuries
• Management of chronic health problems

 

Pace’s Counseling Center is there for students in need of help either inside or outside the classroom. The center offers personal counseling (for personal or emotional difficulties), educational counseling (study skills, time management), and vocational counseling (for help in choosing a major or career path). All Counseling Center services are free and confidential.
