Pace University Honors College

This highly esteemed Pforzheimer Honors College offers several important advantages: 

  • Honors Courses- Covering a wide range of topics and taught by the University's most esteemed professors.
     
  • Honors Events- On-and-off-campus events that expose students to the cultural life of the surrounding area.
     
  • Honors Advisement- Specialized advice (in addition to that provided by your regular faculty advisers) from an Honors director and an Honors adviser to help you meet your goals.
     
  • Research Opportunities- Participate in advanced research opportunities typically reserved for graduate students.
     
  • Going for the Gold- Support for national scholarships, fellowships, and funded research programs, such as the Fulbright Award, National Science Foundation's Research Experiences for Undergraduates, and the Watson Fellowship.
     
  • Financial Reward- A special merit scholarship of $15,000 annually; a complimentary laptop computer or iPad, plus the option to apply for a $1,000 grant for Honors research. Honors students frequently receive additional merit scholarships that can be combined with the Honors scholarship.
     

Am I eligible?

Did you maintain a high school GPA of 90 or higher? Were your SAT critical reading and math scores 550 or higher with a combined score (on these two sections) of at least 1200? If so, you may qualify for the Pforzheimer Honors college. The Honors College is open to students in all majors at Pace. Business Honors Program

Business majors in the Pforzheimer Honors College are now part of the newly created Business Honors Program, which provides a select group of outstanding BBA, BBA/MBA, and BBA/MS students with an enhanced academic experience to prepare them for leadership roles in global business.

Highlights include:

  • Foundation in four key subject areas— Understanding Business in the Digital Age, Managing Legal and Ethical Business Challenges, Building and Sustaining Business Relationships, Planning and Control in Complex Organizations.
     
  • International study component— Recent trips include Brazil, India, Japan and Russia.
     
  • Advanced leadership course— Incorporation community based service.
     
  • Year-long Capstone Honors Thesis Sequence

This program also provides advanced seminars, skill-building workshops, leadership retreats, distinguished speakers, opportunities to participate in an executive mentoring program, personalized faculty advisement, scholarships for study abroad courses and field studies, tickets to select Lubin events, and special recognition at the Annual Lubin Awards Ceremony.
