Welcome to the page for Pace University’s Assessment News, a publication which was made possible by a grant awarded through the Charles Engelhard Foundation that supports the Bringing Theory to Practice Project (BT to P). BT to P is an initiative of the Association of American Colleges and Universities that advocates the “academic community's support of engaged learning and the relationship of such learning to student health and civic development” (AAC&U 2009). Assessment News provides a resource for Pace University faculty and staff as they seek to enhance student engagement and the culture of learning at Pace University through continuous improvement of courses and programs.

In this newsletter we hoped to present useful information from a range of assessment resources while encouraging dialogue about current trends and issues at hand. A primary function of Assessment News is to spread the word about assessment already in practice by the Pace community. We encourage submissions from you about your experiences in assessment: your triumphs, frustrations and daily minutia. Letters to the Editors, questions, comments and suggestions are welcome.
