HR Fringe Benefit & Indirect Cost Rates
When the annual budget plan documents were distributed to you included under the Centrally Processed Changes are the benefits allocations applicable to the salary budgets within your departments. Based upon an analysis of benefit costs the specific allocations for full-time and part-time employees has changed. Effective June 16,2015 the following allocation amounts will be assessed:
Full-time faculty and staff 38.3%
Part-time faculty and staff 13.7%
Student wages (includes work study) 0.62%
Please use the above whenever you are requesting new funding for faculty and staff positions.

The Finance and Planning (F&P) cost rate is developed by the University in accordance with OMB Circular A-21 and negotiated with the Department of Health and Human Services, the University’s federal cognizant audit agency. The University has an on-site and an off-site rate used for all programs (refer to Facilities and Finance Procedures). Effective July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2016 the current F&P on-site rate is 67% of salaries and wages, off-site rate is 30.9% of salaries and wages.
