SCHEDULE OF TAPINGS

Since tapings of Inside the Actors Studio at Pace University are scheduled irregularly, subject to each individual guest’s availability, there is generally no “list” or “schedule” of future guests or tapings available. When information is available about an upcoming taping or set of tapings, we will announce it on our home page.

GENERAL PUBLIC STANDBY LINE

A general public standby line is available for every taping.  Those interested should line-up outside 3 Spruce Street between Park Row and Gold Street at least 2 hours prior to showtime.  While we generally have a high percentage rate of getting standby patrons into the tapings, the Michael Schimmel Center for the Arts assumes no responsiblity for patrons who are unable to be seated.

PACE COMMUNITY

Current Pace University students may attend the tapings free on a standby basis, with a valid Pace ID.  A Pace ID admits the Pace student only.  Pace students should line up on B-level by the Security desk at the Spruce Street entrance at least one hour prior to showtime. Tickets will be distributed to this line on a priority standby basis, subject to availability. Please know that, although tickets are standby only, in 95% of cases, we are able to seat most people who get on the Pace standby line at least one hour prior to showtime.

WHAT TO KNOW WHEN ATTENDING A TAPING

Please Note: The Michael Schimmel Center for the Arts has the right to give away tickets 10 minutes prior to showtime if you are not in your seat by this time.

Although guests do sometimes perform, and although comedians - for example - are often funny in their interviews, this is not a performance event or comedy night.  It is an extended interview about the guest's career and acting technique.  If you are not clear about this, we strongly suggest that you watch Inside the Actors Studio on BRAVO to give you a better idea of what you will be seeing onstage.

If you have already purchased your ticket, you should plan to arrive at the Spruce Street entrance 1 hour before showtime.  You may need to wait outdoors, so dress appropriately.  Anyone arriving after taping begins may not be admitted.

Please understand that the taping lasts between 3 and 4 hours. The audience is often seen on camera, so everyone must remain seated the entire time. There is no intermission.

This is officially a class for students in the Actors Studio MFA program at Pace. After a brief break, the guest returns to take questions directly from class members, which are also taped for possible use in the broadcast.  All audience members are welcome to take seats on the orchestra level to listen, and you are welcome to stay for that session, although only Actors Studio MFA students may ask questions. This session usually lasts about 45 minutes.

No food or beverages will be allowed in the theatre. Audience members must not chew gum, knit, or wear hats in the theatre. If you wear clothing with any writing or logos other than Pace's, you may be required to sit out of camera shot. No one under 18 can be admitted to a taping.

Use of cellphones or pagers, or any recording or photography anywhere inside the theatre at any time during the evening - including before and after the interview - is strictly prohibited. Guests are not available to sign autographs or pose for photographs and, for security reasons, we cannot accept communications or items to be given to guests.

Sight lines from any seat may be obstructed from time to time by broadcast equipment.  Audience members may be relocated at any time by program or theatre staff.  Please cooperate with Pace security, program and theatre staff.

Tickets are not transferable. Under no circumstances may any tickets be sold or bartered.
