1988-1991, showed photographic collages extensively in New York and New Jersey.
1991-present, working on mixed media; oil sticks, acrylic, spray paint, crayons, charcoal, colored pencils, markers, etc.

I use a variety of media to best express my varying moods. Having never taken a formal art class, I am able to follow my instincts and emotions when creating my art. My most recent work attempts to integrate the physical and spiritual aspects of my life. Muc h of the work is reminiscent of earlier periods in my memory and fantasy world; raw, direct and unrefined, but also complex in its lightness and darkness. -- Jared Bernstein / July, 1995
