Professor Ainsley Adams spoke at the Caribbean Student Association Awareness Function on Apr. 13, 2011
at the Kessel Center in Room A.
The topic area of dissussion was deemed; Aim High: If I Can Do It, So Can You. Professor Adams
articulated to the crowd in attendance about his experience coming to the US from the island of Trinidad in
the West Indies and his struggle to achieve his goal of teaching in the US.
He also touched upon the teaching recognition and awards that he’s received over the years, most notably
being named Teacher of the Year for Westchester/Putnam Counties by the Reporter Dispatch (Gannett News
Corp.).
