TeachLivE™ Labs Grand Opening

Pace University School of Education debuted its TeachLivE™ Labs during ribbon-cutting ceremonies on both the New York City and Pleasantville Campuses.  State and local government officials, educational administrators, and media representatives were in attendance.

Pace School of Education partners with the University of Central Florida (UCF), where the avatar technology was developed. UCF has been awarded the 2012 Innovative Technology Award by the American Association of Colleges of Teacher Education, and Pace School of Education has been named in the award announcement as one of only 10 universities in the country, and the only school in the Northeast, using this technology.

The TeachLivELab is a mixed-reality teaching environment supporting teacher preparation in pedagogy and content. The TeachLivE Lab is an excellent example of a best practice in education, using cutting-edge technology to provide pre-service and in-service teachers the opportunity to practice teaching skills and to improve their expertise.
