The MetLife Foundation-NASSP Breakthrough Schools program showcases middle level and high schools that are high achieving or have dramatically improved student achievement while serving large numbers of students who live in poverty.

6.26.2013 - Education Week NYC iZone Launches Blended Learning Institute & Innovation Challenges Education Week's "Vander Ark on Innovation" blog highlights NYC iZone, "an innovation hub and change management model that is the largest blended learning initiative in the country" and is being launched by Innovate NYC for the New York City Department of Education. One of the major initiatives of the program is the Blended Learning Institute, in which the School of Education has created a two-year certification program for NYC Teaching Fellows to prepare teachers to lead 21st century learning.
