Sara was among 650 young activist (aged 14-24) from around the world who attended the conference, and the youth activist heard from a variety of knowledgeable and passionate speakers which included the founders of the host organization, Gary Haugen (the creator of International Justice Mission), Carl Wilkens (the only American who stayed in Rwanda during the genocides) and Tom Shadyack (director of "Ace Ventura" and the documentary "I Am".
Discussion took place on topics such as what it means to be a youth activist and why it is the responsibility of Sara's generation to stop injustice in the world.
"It was an extremely powerful summit and I came out of it with a renewed sense of purpose," Sara said.
