TeachLivE™ is an innovative mixed-reality technology that simulates educator experiences such as teaching, parent conferences and job interviews, through real-time interaction with digital avatars.  This mixed reality environment provides opportunities to practice scaffolding and/or differentiated instruction in a variety of content areas. Participants can present or review lessons, use an array of instructional strategies and assess their own ability to engage students in learning activities.  TeachLivE™ provides teacher candidates the opportunity to develop their pedagogical practice in a safe environment that doesn’t place real students at risk.  The use of the TeachLivE™ Lab has also been instrumental in teacher candidate transition to the classroom as well as in service teacher professional development.

TeachLivE™ can be used in a number of ways, not only by pre-service teachers but also experience teachers and even administrators. Candidates can work on:
