Pace / ICLN International Criminal Court Moot

Regional Round for the Americas and Caribbean (formerly the Pace International Criminal Court Moot Competition)

 

The annual International Criminal Court (ICC) Moot Competition held at Pace University School of Law is now the official English language round for the ICC Trial Competition held in The Hague. The new global competition is sponsored by the Dutch government, in cooperation with Pace Law School, the University of Amsterdam, the American Society of International Law, and the International Criminal Law Network (ICLN).

 

Eligibility: The round held at Pace Law School is open to all English-speaking law students.  For all other languages, see here.

 

The 2012 competition was held February 10-12, 2012. Please see the Justice Initiative Colloquium flyer, the final schedule of events as well as the Friday schedule and directions to OSI.   Problem Clarifications have been posted and the Supplemental Rules have been updated as of 12-5-11. Memorials for the Regional Round are to be submitted electronically to the following email address: paceiccmc@gmail.com by 11:59 p.m. EST on 8 January 2012.

Congratulations to the Pace ICC Moot Court team for taking second place in the ICC Moot competition held on campus February 11-12.  The team, coached by last year’s team captain, Lucie Olejnikova, and Adjunct Professor Peter Widulski, consists of James Healy, Brian Leonardi, Joseph Sinchak, Matthew Guber, and Alexis Keller.  The team received excellent assistance and advice from Allison Kline, an oralist on last year’s team.  Finishing as the best U.S. team in the competition, the Pace team will advance to compete in the finals to be held in The Hague from 22 - 27 April 2012.
