Trial Advocacy
Stand up and litigate
A cornerstone of a complete legal education, trial advocacy involves much more than standing up to argue before a judge. Client interviewing, negotiation, preparation of opening, closing, and evidentiary arguments, and strategizing a legal appeal are just a few of the skills every attorney must have.
Of the many ways you will develop trial advocacy skills at Pace, trial advocacy competitions provide a uniquely rewarding opportunity to sharpen and demonstrate your emerging abilities. Each year, you may opt to participate in one or more of approximately one dozen contests ranging from intramural competition to the ABA-sponsored Client Counseling Competition
