A Conversation with Professor Michael B. Mushlin on Prison Reform
Long an advocate both in and out of the classroom for prison reform, Professor Michael B. Mushlin has made it his life’s work to bring our basic Constitutional rights into the “shadow world” of the United States prison system. He has lectured widely on prison reform, evidence, solitary confinement, and rethinking race and prisoners’ rights. At Pace Law School, Professor Mushlin teaches Civil Procedure, Evidence, and a Prisoners’ Rights Seminar and has co-created the first-ever civil procedure course taught with a sitting federal judge. He serves as a vice-chairman on the Board of Directors of the Correctional Association of New York and on the Executive Committee of the New York City Bar Association.
We had a chance to sit down with Professor Mushlin to discuss prison reform and oversight. MORE >>
