Alumni/ae Activity

  • This year, 138 Seidenberg alumni/ae from the tri-state area reconnected with Pace at a number of local alumni/ae events. They include the Metrazur Holiday Celebration reception in Grand Central, an evening of Chocolate at Bergdorf Goodman, the Alumni Recognition Dinner, Pace University 's First Alumni Art Exhibit, and Broadway performances of "Young Frankenstein" and "In the Heights."
  • ASPIRE (Alumni, Students and Professors Influencing Recruitment and Enrollment) receptions in Washington DC, Philadelphia, and Boston enabled Seidenberg alumni to share the Pace experience with prospective students and their parents.
  • The Seidenberg Alumni Association continued its tradition of presenting Seidenberg Alumni Achievement Awards at the annual Seidenberg Award Ceremonies held in both New York City and Westchester each May prior to commencement. The awards are given to an outstanding undergraduate and graduate student on each campus. This year's presenters were Andreea Cotoranu (BS/IS '04) in Westchester and Mary Curtin (MS/CS '92, DPS '06) in New York City.
  • The Seidenberg Alumni Association once again co-sponsored the Annual Award for Leadership and Service in Technology Reception, the School's major fund raiser. The honoree was Naomi Seligman, co-chair of the influential CIO Strategy Exchange and senior partner with Ostriker von Simson, a technology research firm. Ivan G. Seidenberg, Chairman and CEO of Verizon Communications, Inc. and benefactor of the school, was guest speaker. Charles Costa, CIO, Global Technology Infrastructure, JPMorgan Chase, and Mark Kay, CEO of StrikeForce Technologies, Inc., served as event co-chairs and were assisted by Austin A. Adams, former executive vice president and CIO, JPMorgan Chase, last year's honoree. The event generated a record-breaking $235,000 in support of student scholarships and new academic initiatives.
