Commencement 2009

SEIDENBERG CELEBRATES ITS GRADUATES
May 2009

Prior to the University Commencement Exercises at which degrees ranging from the associate to the doctoral were conferred on Seidenberg graduates, the school held its own Award Ceremonies on both the New York City and Westchester campuses. At these ceremonies, students were honored for their academic achievement as well as their service contributions to the school and the surrounding community.

Constance Knapp, interim dean, gave a thoughtful speech at both events reminding graduates that the age of continuous change and abundant information requires IT professionals to be lifelong learners.

In Westchester, Lynne Marino (MS/IS '92) made inspiring remarks on how graduates can differentiate themselves as they embark on careers as IT professionals.

And Nancy Hale, chair of the Technology Systems department and co-coordinator of the online NACTEL program, received her Doctor of Professional Studies (DPS) for Education Professionals at the Graduate Commencement Ceremony held at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.
