Summer Experience Application
Because we limit our program to such a small number of students, you should be in the top 10% of your class and have a combined score of 180 on the verbal, math, and writing sections of your PSAT/NMSQT, with at least a 60 on the math section. On the SAT, we're looking for a combined score of at least 1250 on the verbal and math sections, with a math score of no lower than 650.
Application Deadline is May 6, 2011
Application Deadline extended to May 31, 2011
Once you've filled it out, please submit it electronically to our assistant dean, Jonathan Hill, at jhill@pace.edu.
We'd also like you to submit a high school transcript, a letter of recommendation from one of your high school teachers or guidance counselors, and an essay. Your essay serves as a warm-up for the Summer Experience, and should, in a statement of about 500 words, pose a global problem or need and then discuss how computing technology could be applied to solve that problem.
Please send your application, transcript, recommendation, and essay to the Seidenberg Scholars Summer Program office at Pace University, 163 William Street, 2nd Floor, New York, NY 10038. Make sure you include your name on each page that you send to us.
To consider you for the program, we need all parts of your application by midnight on May 31, 2011 and we'll let everyone know of their status by June 7, 2011.
The fee for the Seidenberg Summer Scholars Experience 2010 is $500. A $100 deposit must be received in our office by June 30, 2011.
Good luck. And if you have any questions, send an email to Jonathan Hill, Assistant Dean at jhill@pace.edu.
