Computer Applications for the Office Professional

The Computer Applications for the Office Professional Training Program is a not-for credit program offered at Pace University’s Midtown Center in Manhattan. Pace University and United Neighborhood Houses have developed a partnership to offer this program to residents of New York City. This employment-directed training program has a mechanism for converting course hours into credits. Students interested in pursuing a degree program at Pace would be required to enroll in a two credit course which reviews prior learning experiences for credit.

This certificate is offered over a period of eight to nine months. During that time, participants engage in computer applications and office skills courses. This part-time program enables individuals to study while working. An internship component is included to enhance the student's qualifications by engaging him/her in work related to the field of study. The courses are currently offered during the day at Pace University’s Midtown Center, which is centrally located in Manhattan on Fifth Avenue. This is an ideal setting for person’s studying to become office professionals. Furthermore, these students have the benefit of the vast job opportunities in New York City.

Courses are typically offered in two month terms. An internship experience is the primary focus in the last four months of the program.
