The Seidenberg School’s Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science degree program aims to cultivate advanced computing research scholars and professionals who will be competent in both industry and academia. The program is aligned with Pace’s central mission to create thinking professionals who are highly sought after as innovators and successful leaders, and who will positively impact the 21st century. We are currently inviting applicants to this PhD program to begin in the fall or spring semester.
Our first priority is to ensure that the graduates of this program are of high-quality, effective, and innovative computing scholars who can directly contribute to the economy of New York State and the nation.
Unique Features of the PhD in Computer Science
There are many features that make the Seidenberg School’s PhD program unique, including:
- It is a select and small program that only accepts students with proven research experience;
- The students are closely integrated in strategically important applied research projects focusing on telehealth, cloud/web computing and information assurance, biometrics and machine learning, artificial intelligence and robotics, and software engineering and formal methods; and
- Students may receive financial support so they can focus on full-time research.
