Student Office Assistants

Student Office Assistants are the office staff of SDCA. We hire between 8-12 students per semester and we prefer students to work for the office both semesters (when possible).  These students act as the office liaisons between the professional staff and visitors/students.  They traditionally are the information hub and the front desk, as they screen all incoming calls and questions from in and outside the Pace Community.  This position requires some organizational skills, a friendly attitude, and willingness to learn about programs hosted throughout campus in order to answer a variety of questions from students and visitors.

Students in this position must reapply for employment every fall as we hope this position is a stepping stone into a more active student life experience as we strive to build student leaders who will contribute to the Pace Experience.  Any questions regarding this position and the hiring process can be sent to Caity Kirschbaum, Coordinator for Student Development and Campus Activities at ckirschbaum@pace.edu or call (914) 773-3767.

Typically we hire approximately five to six SAMS per semester (preferably a full academic year), who staff events on a rotation basis, unless it is a campus-wide event such as Convocation, Homecoming, Relay for Life or any parties that require more than one SAM at a time.

Students in this position must reapply for employment every fall.  Interviews will take place in the the late spring semester with a start date in the beginning of September.  Any questions regarding this position and the hiring process can be sent to Niki Fjedal, Assistant Director for Student Development and Campus Activities at nfjeldal@pace.edu  or call (914) 773-3463 or Robert-Thomas Jones, Assistant Director for Greek Life / Student Development and Campus
