A faculty- initiated, faculty- managed retention initiative
Targeting first year students on the NY campus
Encouraging individual faculty involvement in activities that promote retention
Supported by the Dyson, Lubin, and Seidenberg Deans and the Provost
Based on research indicating the 10 suggested activities tend to have a positive impact on retention
The idea is for each faculty member to volunteer to do more than what you are already doing to
improve the first year experience.
What it isn’t:
Or an extra burden you must assume.
These activities are simple, varied enough to appeal to people with different interests and capabilities, and for the most part—fun.
Activities that involve several faculty should have one faculty coordinator. The others who participate are encouraged to coordinate their own activities to support Each One Reach One.
Please join us in this new and exciting initiative designed by the NY Faculty Council’s Committee on Admissions and Retention. Pick one of the 10 EORO activities and join Each One Reach One. While most of the activities do not require extra funds, if you do need funding for your event, go to Support for EORO.
