Costs & Financial Aid

Semester Abroad

Students participating on semester or academic year abroad programs remain enrolled at Pace University and will continue to pay tuition & fees directly to Pace. See below for information on costs and financial aid by program category.

Pace Exchange
Pace tuition and fees, including a $100 Study Abroad Fee are billed to the student account. Room charges are the responsibility of the student and are paid directly to the host institution. Out-of-pocket expenses (airfare, meals, local transportation, etc.) are the responsibility of the student.

All federal, state and institutional (Pace scholarships/grants) financial aid applies.

Pace Global Partners
Pace tuition and fees, including a $100 Study Abroad Fee are billed to the student account. Room charges are the responsibility of the student and are paid directly to the host institution. Out-of-pocket expenses (airfare, meals, local transportation, etc.) are the responsibility of the student.

All federal and state financial aid apply during the semester abroad. Up to $10,000 of institutional financial aid (Pace scholarships/grants) applies to the semester abroad - note portability of Pace institutional aid is limited to two semesters. Pace tuition remission does not apply.

Alternate Program Options
Inquire with the Pace Abroad Advisors about billing and financial aid portability for semester abroad programs which fall outside of the Pace Exchange and Pace Global Partner programs.


Short-Term Programs

January Term and Summer Programs
A $100 Study Abroad Fee is billed to the Pace student account. Program fees (tuition and fees, room and/or board) are the responsibility of the student and are paid directly to the host institution.

Out-of-pocket expenses (airfare, meals, local transportation, etc.) are the responsibility of the student.

Federal financial aid applies to summer programs, provided the student is enrolled full-time for summer (minimum of 6 CR HRS). A separate Summer Loan application is required. Pace institutional aid (scholarships/grants) and Pace tuition remission do not apply.

Faculty-Led Programs
Pace tuition and fees, including a $100 Study Abroad Fee are billed to the student account at the time of course registration.

Program fees (Room and/or board, local transportation) are paid directly to the Education Abroad Office. Out-of-pocket expenses (airfare, meals not included in program fees, etc.) are the responsibility of the student.

In order to be considered for further loans because of increased study abroad expenses, e-mail studyabroad@pace.edu to request Faculty-led budget sheet. E-mail the budget sheet to financialaid@pace.edu. Federal loan limitations apply.
