142    Lubin School of Business INTERNATIONAL MANAGEMENT MAJOR Bachelor of Business Administration The international management major prepares students for the global world of business through specialized study in a region of the world. Students are required to concentrate in one of the following regions: Asia, Europe, or Latin America. The choice of region will determine the appro- priate international management environments course, as well as the courses to be taken to fulfill the foreign language and culture requirement. Because of the interdis- ciplinary nature of the international management major, all students are required to have a plan of study approved by the international management advisor on their home campus in their first semester or as soon as they have been accepted into the program. Each concentration requires a total of 21 credits including 18 credits in language, culture and history and a 3-credit international management environments course. These credits are applied toward the University Core, major and auxiliary requirements as indicated in the outline of the degree requirements above. Students are required to select one language from those approved for their regional concentration. Where appropriate, a second language of the region may be added on an exception basis with the approval of the Management and Management Science Department Chair or Undergraduate Management Program Chair, in consultation with the Department of Modern Languages and Cultures. Students are encouraged to use their language courses to complete a language minor. REGION I: ASIA (Offered on New York City Campus only.)
