Dyson College of Arts and Sciences 87 THEATER ARTS MAJOR Bachelor of Arts (NYC) A general theater studies program where students can select a variety of concentrations to prepare them for work in professional theater as actors, technicians and designers. Total credits 128 Schaeberle Studio Theater The theater is a flexible-seating rehearsal/performance space used as a laboratory for student performance work. Technically equipped for public performance, it is also used as the principal space for acting, movement, and lighting laboratories. ASSOCIATE DEGREE PROGRAMS For many students, the associate degree programs listed below offer a college degree option attainable in a suitable time frame, in order to enhance short-term career opportu- nities. The programs offer a great deal of flexibility so that students may design a course of study according to their personal interests and career goals. An associate degree also provides a platform from which to launch a bachelor’s degree course of study. Students who intend to transfer to a bachelor’s degree program should consult the specific requirements of the major program. Courses should be chosen in consultation with a faculty advisor. Courses listed under core requirements should be designated as either foundation courses or exploratory courses.
