Careers and Funded Internships
The Wilson Center for Social Entrepreneurship, in conjunction with Pace University's Career Services, provides resources and networking opportunities for Pace students interested in pursuing careers in nonprofits, government/nongovernmental organizations, social enterprises and social ventures. From microfinance and philanthropic advisement, to community and international development, careers in social enterprise are wide-ranging and diverse.
The Wilson Center aims to support students interested in choosing careers working towards a social mission. To this end, we offer positions for up to 15 Summer Funded Internships in nonprofits and social enterprises in the New York metropolitan area. Recent host organizations include: Robin Hood Foundation, Housing Works, Greyston Bakery, Violence Intervention Program, Safe Horizon, The Trust for Public Land, Rising Tide Capital, Nonprofit Finance Fund, New York Women's Foundation, and New York Urban League.
While we encourage students to consider applying for our Summer Funded Internship Program, we also offer a comprehensive guide to Career Resources for students interested in pursuing careers in nonprofits and social enterprises. We also host a number of organizations and leaders in our Social Enterprise in Residence program. These individuals come for campus visits offering students the opportunity to attend speaking engagements in and out of the classroom to further explore and understand the opportunities in the field. Our Events also offer a perfect networking opportunity for students and alumni.
