Before graduating from Pace, Sofya Sternik was already rubbing shoulders with some of the biggest names in finance. As captain of Pace’s Federal Reserve Challenge Team, she, her teammates, and their faculty advisers took the team to first place at the 2012 New York Federal Reserve Bank’s College Fed Challenge and went on to place third in the nation—where they met Chairman of the Federal Reserve Ben Bernanke.
“I think that what sets Pace apart is that we know when to study, and we know when to have fun. That balance of working with and enjoying your time with the team, and studying as much as you can, is what makes us great and won us the Lloyd Bromberg Teamwork Award [in addition to our first-place win.]”
Hear Sternik talk about her experience at the National College Fed Challenge in this success story video.
