Center For Academic Excellence

Alpha Lambda Delta

Founded in 1924, Alpha Lambda Delta is a national honor society for first-year students and has 260+ nationally recognized chapters. ALD began at Pace in the Spring of 2012, and has chapters on both the NYC and PLV campus. ALD members are highlighted at graduation with honor cords.

Alpha Lambda Delta is a great way to meet other students committed to academic excellence. Our students build close friendships and frequently refer to their “ALD family.” (Alpha Lambda Delta, National Honor Society for First-Year Students, Brochure, 2016)

Students who achieve a 3.5 grade point average and rank in the top 20% of their class after their first fall semester at Pace will be invited to join. Alpha Lambda Delta offers students the opportunity to meet and interact with other high achieving Pace University students as they plan and participate in community service and campus activities.   Students are also provided an opportunity to learn about and develop leadership skills if they are active members and take on executive board positions.
