Where is the Learning Assistance Center located? Is there a fee for the service? What are the hours of operation?
The Learning Assistance Center is located on the third floor of Mortola Library. We offer a free service to all current Pace University students during our hours of operation of Sunday 4pm-10pm, Monday through Wednesday 10am-9pm, and Thursday 10 am - 7 pm.
What is and why should I use TutorTrac?
TutorTrac is our system to provide you with information regarding who and what tutors are on duty, to view your previous sessions, to view your course schedule and to make appointments. Our website outlines more information regarding how to use TutorTrac.
What subjects do you support?
We support many subjects; including accounting, biology, chemistry, computer science, economics, finance, mathematics, and psychology. Note: we do not support every course within these subjects. Please visit TutorTrac to determine if we support your course.
What should I bring with me to the Learning Assistance Center?
When coming to the Learning Assistance Center, it is best to come prepared with questions. Please bring all content from your class, including homework, notes, classwork, textbook, etc.
Do I need an appointment?
No, you do not need an appointment. We offer both walk-in and appointment based service.
Will a tutor be available to help me?
Not necessarily. Please visit TutorTrac to view the schedule of content tutors.
How do I find the right tutor for me?
Upon arrival to the Center, you should visit the front desk where you will be directed to an appropriate tutor. You should try a few tutors to find the best fit for your goals and learning style.
May I come to the Learning Assistance Center with a group?
Groups of all sizes are welcome. If your group size is larger than four, please contact the Learning Assistance Center before arrival.
Do you have textbooks available?
