Nursing Calculations Program
Nurses use math every day to provide safe and effective care for their patients. Pace University nursing students are required to take the Clinical Calculation Exam every semester in order to proceed into a clinical course. In order to advance into the lab/clinical portion of the nursing program, students must score at least a 90% on the Clinical Calculation Exam. This program will assist students in preparing for the Clinical Calculation Exam by reviewing material over a six-week period of time.

Survivalist Math For General Chemistry I
General Chemistry needs math… go figure! Welcome to Survivalist Math for General Chemistry Workshops. These sessions will focus on all the major distinct mathematical uses in the chapters covering General Chemistry I at Pace. These sessions will ensure you have the important mathematical skills needed to succeed in your General Chemistry course.
Survivalist Math For General Chemistry II
Students are expected to work in groups and come up to the board to explain their solutions. There will be “Math Needed for Chemistry” review sessions available for students in General Chemistry II. These sessions will focus on all the major distinct mathematical uses in the chapters covering the entire course. These sessions are not meant to focus on the chemistry, but rather only the math needed to solve complex chemistry-based problems. Topics will include scientific notation, dimensional analysis involving length, time, and volume conversions, metric system conversions, stoichiometry-based proportions and ratios, quadratic equations, logarithms, inverse logs, and solving for x. Each session will begin with a brief lecture on the topic. This will be followed up with problems worksheet. Students are expected to work in groups and come up to the board to explain their solutions.
