We are pleased to offer online tutoring for MAT 100/103/104/111/131 during the Fall and Spring semesters. Online tutoring is by appointment, and appointments can be made for up to one hour and depends on tutor availability. We require at least 48-hour advance notice. Please email your tutoring appointment request to (Mitch Joseph firstname.lastname@example.org or Narendra Ramcharan email@example.com) , being sure to include your full name, your U number, and the day/date and time you would like to receive tutoring.
When you make an appointment, we will reply with a confirmation for your date and time. We will also send you a link to open to start your tutoring session. You will be working in Blackboard Collaborate, and you will need to familiarize yourself with several of its features. There is a chat feature that will allow you to type in your questions to the tutor. If you have a headset or a webcam, you can speak directly to the tutor. There is also a whiteboard, where you and the tutor can work out problems together. In addition, there is a computer sharing feature that allows you and the tutor to share each other’s computers so that you can work in the same programs together. More instructions are available here: BB Collaborate Help.
