Teaching: Adolescent Track (Advanced)
Students who already hold a masters or another advanced degree related to their teaching discipline who chooses not to pursue another graduate degree may opt for the Advanced Certificate instead of the MST. Individuals without a Master’s degree who seek a secondary certification may qualify for the advanced certificate program under certain circumstances. The advance program includes Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, English, French, Italian (Pleasantville Campus only), Mathematics, Physics (Pleasantville campus only), Social Studies, and Spanish. The Advanced Certificate requires 18 credits of coursework and a supervised student teaching experience for a total of 24 credits.
