Biography

I am an Assistant Professor in the College of Health Professions at Pace University in New York City and a Module Organiser at LSHTM. My research investigates the effectiveness of immediate antiretroviral therapy for reducing incident HIV infections (Shanghai, China) and socio-structural factors associated with HIV risk among HIV-serodifferent couples in Canada. My work is supported by the Canadian Institutes for Health Research. I completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the CIHR Social Research Centre in HIV Prevention, Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto. I received my PhD from the Department of Infectious Disease Epidemiology, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM). I am a member of the Public Health in Humanitarian Crises Group and an Associate Managing Editor for the journal Conflict & Health. I also hold an MSc in Environmental Change and Management (University of Oxford) and a BSc (Honors) in Zoology and Psychology from the University of Toronto.
