Biography
I am an Associate Professor in the College of Health Professions at Pace University in New York City. I teach undergraduate and graduate students in the Communication Sciences and Disorders Department. I enjoy teaching Psycholinguistics, Phonetics, Speech Science, Neuroscience, and Research Methods. My research adopts an evolutionary approach to human behavior. I am interested in the human capacity for spoken language, social evaluations based on speech and, more recently, the analysis of ethnographic reports of ancient customs in traditional societies. I served as a visiting scholar in the Evolutionary Psychology Lab at SUNY, New Paltz, and continue to collaborate with the team.
