In-Person Celebrations

In addition to our full-length virtual ceremonies, we're hosting events on the NYC and Pleasantville campuses for our graduating students to gather for safe, socially distant celebrations and photos. These events will give everyone who plans to participate enough time to be recognized individually. It's your graduation and you've earned the right to celebrate!

PLEASE NOTE: For those who have registered for the Pleasantville events, you will receive an email on Friday, April 30, with instructions and updates about your selected event. If you registered for the New York City events, you will receive an email by Sunday, May 2, with instructions and updates about your selected event.

How to Participate

In order to participate in our in-person events, you must follow the guidelines below:

  • If you have NOT  been on campus this semester, you must upload the negative results of a COVID-19 PCR test, taken within 7 days of attending an event, to University Health Care's Patient Portal. Please allow for at least 72 hours for the results of your test to be verified. If you do not have a negative PCR test result uploaded and verified by Pace, you will not be permitted on campus.
    • If you are a residential or commuter student that has already accessed campus this semester, you will be required to participate in the weekly on-campus testing between Monday, April 26, to Wednesday, April 28.
    • Testing is required for all students attending our in-person events, regardless of vaccination status, unless you have tested positive for COVID-19 within 90 days prior to the event. Students who have tested positive in the past 90 days, should not participate in the COVID testing protocol related to attending the in person stage celebrations.  However, they should submit your positive test result through University Health Care's Patient Portal.  Students should not e-mail confidential test results to anyone.
    • For instructions about how to upload your test results to the Patient Portal, please review these easy-to-follow instructions (PDF). Low-cost or free testing is increasingly available at pharmacies and walk-in clinics, as well as offered by public health departments in some locations, including New York. Find a testing location near you.
  • Face coverings and social distancing will be required at these events, as will adherence to all local and state Department of Health and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines.
  • These in-person celebrations are for graduating students only. Family members and other guests are not permitted. If you arrive with a guest or family member, you will not be allowed to participate.
  • There will be an opportunity for students to have their photo taken by a professional photographer during the in-person celebrations.
  • The in-person celebrations will not be livestreamed, but they will be professionally recorded for inclusion in the stream of the virtual ceremonies on May 17.
  • No food or drinks will be permitted at these events.
  • Academic regalia is optional for all graduation celebrations.
