Students will also learn how to integrate Java Script and jQuery to build interactive elements such light box and photo galleries.
Students will utilize techniques for using CSS in responsive sites by using media queries. They will follow best practices, workflows and compatibility with different browsers. In addition, students will cover tricks for using CSS to add transition effects to the site. This class will demonstrate how to integrate Normalize.css to make browsers render all elements more consistently and in line with modern standards.
Photoshop continues to advance workflows across the Adobe toolset. Students will learn how to design websites using column layouts for responsive sites and how to generate assets to integrate them using Dreamweaver. Extract Assets is a new feature in Photoshop that provides an interface on top of Adobe Generator to help automate the creation of assets for web and screen design from Photoshop files. The Extract Assets command allows you to define which layer(s) you want to create assets for, their size, file format and saved location on disk.
In this section of the certificate program, students will learn the workflow for creating dynamic websites with Wordpress.
