To aid in the overall health of our campus communities, we have instructed our cleaning contractors to increase frequency of cleaning for high-touch areas like railings, elevator buttons, doorknobs, and light switches. These areas now being cleaned multiple times per day, in addition to normal cleaning routines. We have replaced the usual cleaning spray with Virex, a disinfectant product. We also have an adequate supply of Purell and disinfectant wipes on all campuses. In leased buildings where we do not directly control the cleaning staff, we’ve been working with our landlords to ensure similar levels of service. During spring break, we will undertake a deep cleaning of all public spaces across the University, including classrooms, meeting spaces, libraries, and cafeterias.
