"Pace has been the best place to take in all that New York City has to offer, but also to envelop myself in a school that celebrates community, love and diversity."
– Servando Martinez, Class of 2019

I chose Criminal Justice as a major because it matched my interest in criminal law, and selected Communication Studies as a second major to be a more well-rounded candidate for law school. When I first came to Pace from Apple Valley, California, I had no idea what it would be like, and I can now say that my experiences here have taken my breath away. My first year, I became a Tour Guide, Orientation Leader and a Resident Assistant, and over the years, I have had internships at the National September 11th Memorial and Museum, the Secret Service, Omnicon Entertainment, and the Better Business Bureau. Pace has been the best place to take in all that New York City has to offer, but also to envelop myself in a school that celebrates community, love and diversity. Since I was inspired to make the most out of my Pace Path, I became the Dyson Vice President for the Student Government Association (SGA) before becoming the Executive Vice President for SGA and the student body, as a whole. Upon graduation, I want to enroll in a combined MBA in Management and JD program, and work as a corporate attorney until I create my own nonprofit dedicated towards homeless youth.
