Dr. Aaron Steiner and three of his research students (Bryan Volpe, Cody Scardera, and Sanyukta Oak), attended the national meeting of the Society for Developmental Biology. Bryan and Dr. Steiner presented their work on interneuromast cell regeneration at a poster session.
Dr. Nancy Krucher Awarded NIH Grant
Dr. Krucher was awarded a $400K grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), entitled “CDK4/6 Resistance: An Alternate Strategy to Target RB Phosphorylation in Cancer.” Congratulations to Dr. Krucher! Read more.
Dr. Aaron Steiner Awarded NIH Grant
Assistant Professor of Biology Aaron Steiner has been awarded a Grant from the National Institutes of Health for his proposed study to develop new hearing loss therapies by studying hair cells of non-mammalian vertebrates including zebra fish. His proposal includes a strong undergraduate training component, and the funded project will advance research toward regnerative hearing loss treatments and provide opportunities for Dyson students to be involved in the research process.
