Liberal Arts: The Journey
One of the most fascinating aspects of a liberal arts education is that its wide variety of disciplines invariably lead to a myriad of career possibilities from which graduates may choose.
Dyson College alumni are certainly among those whose liberal arts education provided them with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in today’s competitive landscape. Although at times our graduates’ career trajectories may have been circuitous, the journey from their first job to their desired career demonstrates how their liberal arts education helped them to achieve their goals. In this issue, we bring you the unique success stories of alumni, and even a faculty member, that underscore the value of their liberal arts degree. Their journeys as an English major, a criminal justice major and a biology major are vivid examples of the rewarding career possibilities that a liberal arts education can help to make a reality.
As we are quickly approaching commencement, which is a very exciting time for us all, I would like to congratulate all of our graduates and wish them success as they embark upon their career journeys. As you begin the next chapter of your lives, I invite you to stay connected to Dyson College, and to share your unique stories with us. They will motivate our students as well as help them to see career possibilities through your achievements. Reach out to Angela Nally, assistant dean for communications, to share your journey (firstname.lastname@example.org).
