Sally Dickerson is currently the Associate Provost for Research and a Professor in the Department of Psychology at Pace University. Prior to her arrival at Pace in 2015, she was on the faculty in the Department of Psychology and Social Behavior at the University of California, Irvine (2004-2015). Dr. Dickerson also served from 2012-2015 as the Director of the Social Psychology program at the National Science Foundation.

Dr. Dickerson's research integrates psychological and biological levels of analysis by applying theories of social and emotional processes to the context of stress and disease. She examines how social-evaluative threat and accompanying self-conscious emotional responses affect physiological outcomes, and how individual differences may heighten vulnerability to these psychological and physiological changes.
