3 Fun Things To Do on the Easter Weekend in New York
Part of coming to New York to study English is enjoying the culture of your new city.
Easter is on Sunday, April 12, 2020 and is a really fun time to be studying and living in America.
Here are three great things to do for Easter in New York City:
#1 Easter Parade
Walk along 5th Avenue and watch the Easter Parade and Bonnet Festival. The parade begins at 10:00 a.m. and marches north on 5th Avenue, starting at 49th Street and ending at 57th Street. For the best view, stand in front of St. Patrick's Cathedral (5th Avenue between 50th and 51st Streets). Everyone is welcome to march in the parade as long as you wear an Easter hat!
#2 Macy's Flower Show
See the beautiful Macy's Flower Show from March 25 through April 8 in Macy's Herald Square location at 151 West 34th Street. There are beautiful window displays and thousands more flowers around the store.
#3 Easter Egg Hunt
Participate in the Amazing Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt. Go to Slattery's Midtown Pub, 8 East 36th Street (between 5th and Madison Avenues). A series of clues will lead you around NYC looking for hidden eggs worth points and prizes.
The hunt takes three hours. You can sign up as a team or as an individual and they will partner you with a team.
You buy tickets on Event Brite. $39
