3 Ways to Enjoy Cinco de Mayo in New York
May 5 is CINCO DE MAYO.
When you study English in New York at the English Language Institute at Pace University, one of the many wonderful things to enjoy is the cultural diversity. There are many different communities, with their own culture, food, and traditions. One of the most popular holidays to celebrate is Mexico’s Cinco de Mayo (5th of May).
There are many fun ways to celebrate.
#1 Cinco de Mayo Parade
For a very traditional experience, head to the Cinco de Mayo Parade on Central Park West on Sunday, May 6. Between 12:00 and 5:00 there is a colorful parade put on by the Asociación Tepeyac de New York.

#2 Cinco de Mayo Celebration at the Museum of the City of New York
If you have young children or siblings, the Museum of the City of New York has a Cinco de Mayo celebration with family-friendly activities. It is on Saturday, May 5, 11:00am – 2:00pm and is free with Museum admission.
#3 Go to a Mexican Restaurant
The most popular way to celebrate Cinco de Mayo is to enjoy Mexican food and drink at a Mexican restaurant. There are hundreds of wonderful Mexican restaurants all around New York. Pick one, go with friends and enjoy great food!
