English Programs for Academic Purposes


In response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak in New York State, all classes starting January 2021. Courses starting in March 2021 may be online or in-person.

The English Language Institute in New York City offers intensive academic English courses for students planning to study at undergraduate or graduate level in the U.S. Students can then enter Pace University directly without a TOEFL or IELTS score. For those students who plan or need to take the TOEFL test, our experienced, qualified instructors will teach you the test format and effective test-taking strategies you need to meet your goals.

Study English to set yourself up for academic success. Learn the essentials of grammar and writing; improve listening, speaking, and pronunciation skills; and enhance your vocabulary. 6-7-week courses starting January 2021 are offered online.
