Online Intensive Courses for Au Pairs
The U.S. Department of State will temporarily permit au pairs to enroll in online classes if there are no other options available to them in their community. Classes must be online version of existing courses. Pace University is offering only remote learning classes until August 29, 2020. We are committed to offering au pairs opportunities to receive the credits you need. Therefore, the following scheduled classes will be offered online.
If you have any questions, please contact our Admissions Office by messaging email@example.com or calling (212) 346-1562.
2-week Intensive Course Descriptions, Dates and Fees
The courses will take approximately 10 hours each week to complete. During most of the course, students will participate in activities that can be done individually and on the student's own schedule. Students may also participate in activities that take place at the same time with other students and instructor through live class sessions. The live class sessions are not mandatory but meant to enhance the learning experience.
Effective August 14, 2020, we will resume offering Weekend Intensive courses for Au Pairs. These courses are available in-person at our New York City and Westchester campuses or LIVE online for students across the United States. You MUST activate the account before registering for a new course. Please DO NOT create a new account. Please read the Online Registration Instruction including the Account Activation (PDF). Multiple accounts will make it difficult to verify classes you took for your credit hour requirement. If you get "Duplicate Course" message, please call (212) 346-1562 or email the English Language Institute.
All classes will meet online through ZOOM Video Conference or Blackboard. Students will receive instructions for activating their Pace University student account and how to access Blackboard before the first day of class. For classes meeting on ZOOM, instructions for accessing your online class will be sent by email before the first day of class.
Please note we are a non-credit program. After finishing classes, students will receive a certificate from Pace that confirms the number of hours they attended during the session. Minimum 85% attendance is required to receive a certificate for the full number of course hours. Any students who attend less than 85% will receive a certificate for the exact number of hours that they attended.
Payment and Tuition Cancellation Policy
Notification of your intent to cancel or withdraw from a course must be submitted by email to the ELI. Depending on the course, you may also be required to submit a "Registration Action Form" to the Office of Student Assistance. If the correct procedure is not followed, you will not receive a refund and you will receive an F for the course at the end of the term.
Please read our detailed tuition cancellation policy for further information on refund eligibility.
Students who register only for online courses will not receive a Pace University ID card. Students who register for a 6/7-week in-person course held on-campus will receive an ID card. Eligible students will receive information from our Admissions team before classes begin.
