TOEFL iBT Preparation Course (Community Rate)

In response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, this course will be offered fully online in Fall 2020. Spring 2021 courses may be available as in-person or online. Please check the location for each course below for more information.

The English Language Institute offers preparation courses for the TOEFL iBT exam at our community rate price for eligible students, including permanent residents and au pairs in the Westchester, NY, area.

This course prepares you to reach your TOEFL score goals by getting practice with every section of the internet-based TOEFL test (TOEFL iBT) including grammar, vocabulary, reading, listening, speaking and test taking strategies. More than 9,000 universities and colleges in over 130 countries accept or require a TOEFL score. In addition, many employers require a TOEFL score as a condition for employment. Don’t miss this opportunity to boost your resume or CV. At the end of the course, students can register with ETS to take the internet-based TOEFL iBT test.

Earn 28 hours for 7-week course

Dates: Spring I (January 25-March 12)
Hours/ week: 4 hours self-paced study.  An additional optional 1 hours/ week with the teacher is available for extra support (live online Thursday evenings 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. ET*)

Community Rate Eligibility

These courses are offered at community rate pricing for those living and working in the Westchester, New York, area, and Au Pairs. Proof of eligibility is required before the start date of class. Our Admissions team will contact enrolled students with insturctions for submitting proof of eligibility to study at the community rate. If you are not eligible for community rate pricing, you may register for TOEFL iBT Preparation here.


Registration

All registration and payment for courses is done online.

If you have already taken a class (Weekend, Evening, Saturday, Weekday, or TOEFL Blast) with us before, you already have a university account. You MUST activate the account before registering for a new course. Please DO NOT create a new account. Please read the Online Registration Instruction including the Account Activation (PDF). Multiple accounts will make it difficult to verify classes you took for your credit hour requirement. If you get "Duplicate Course" message, please call (212) 346-1562 or email the English Language Institute.
