This 6-week course can be added on to our Summer School program. In addition to the IELTS Intensive Preparation course, students may join our 3-week Doing Business in New York or 3-week International Relations courses for any combination of 1, 2, or 3-weeks in July and August.
The minimum English proficiency to be successful in the below courses is CEFR B1, TOEFL score of 60, or IELTS score of 6.0.
IELTS Intensive Preparation
IELTS is an international standardized test accepted in Australia, UK, Canada, New Zealand, and the United States. This six-week course is designed for intermediate and advanced students who need specific test-taking strategies for the IELTS exam. The course will include strategies for all sections of the exam (reading, writing, listening, and an in-person interview). Students will become familiar with the procedures, timing, tasks, and scoring through weekly practice and feedback on their performance.
In every module, students will learn about the test in-depth and acquire strategies and vocabulary to use on each portion of the exam.

There are regular activities offered by the English Language Institute for all of our students. Join these activities and meet other international students, and see and experience New York City. Activities are typically held Friday afternoons and are free or low cost. This is a great way to maximize your time in New York City and get to know the city even more. These student life trips are not connected to the curriculum or content of the Summer School courses.
Summer school postponed until summer 2022.
